Barbados Luxe: Limegrove Lifestyle Centre

When it comes to all things luxury in Barbados, all roads will lead you to one place—Limegrove Lifestyle Centre. Located on the west coast in St. James, the property is more than just a shopping destination for high-street names such as Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors and more, Limegrove is definitely a lifestyle. Since it's recent opening the 85,000 square foot mix of stores, offices, restaurants, cafes and residences has become the place to see-and-be-seen when not poolside. You can get a full listing of Limegrove stores and brands here, but of course we visited and got a first-hand view of the place. So if you plan on kicking it with us in Barbados this November, here is a quick Parlour guide to the most stylish place on the island:Ralph LaurenWhile you may not be in the market for a polo shirt that you can get in your city, this Bajan flagship of this classic brand stocks their resort collection year-round, which is a treat since some pieces may not be available  everywhere else.Limegrove BarA luxe alternative to Oistin's, Lime or Limegrove Bar is the "stylish" set's place to be on a Friday night in Barbados. Good drink, great nibbles and the people watching (and ear hustling) is completely worth the minor wait you may have to endure for a prime seat.Altman Real EstateJust in case you're in the market for some luxury properties on the island, Altman is a good place to start. But for the rest of us, Altman also has information for some of the hottest rental villas in Barbados for when you plan your return trip.Smart StoreNo matter where you go in the world, a retailer like Smart Store should always be on your radar since they are the leading carrier of Apple and Android accessories and hardware on the island. Lose your iPod buds? Need a new cover from the sun for your iPad? Start here. And the staff is super friendly, which is a plus.Pure SourceWhen it comes to leading names in leading spa and skincare brands, holistic treatments, and the best in a modern apothecary Pure Source is the place to start. Aside from cool candles, robes and stylish gifts, Pure Source also is a good place to discover one of my favorite beauty brands for dark skin, Black Up Cosmetics. It may not be a leading name in US and UK circles yet, but their solid range of skin shades made instant fans of Hills and I, and unlike other island retailers, Pure Source's calm, private environment gives you the time to explore the entire range for yourself. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy paradise, Parlour style! Eat, Play, Love Barbados is Parlour’s fabulous travel deal giving you special discounted rates on top Bajan hotels, including The House, Colony Club and Tamarind, during the Food Wine and Rum Festival November 16-18.
