Facebook-ing for Marriage Equality, Rick Ross Alludes to Date Rape and India.Arie's Return: Parlouroids!

This week in Parlouroids... Soul and pop legends Chaka Khan and Diana Ross celebrated their birthdays while India Arie released a new single (yes!) titled "Cocoa Butter" about the soothing effects of love. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Stewart and her NFL quarterback husband Kordell Stewart filed for divorce. Rick Ross released intolerable lyrics describing him drugging a woman and alluding to taking advantage of her, then he addressed the situation by not really addressing it during an interview on a New Orleans radio station. Naturally, at the end of the awkward and vague chat Ross shouted out all of the "sexy ladies" on his "timeline." *screw face* Meanwhile, in London, John Legend attended a photo call to launch the Sound of Change live at the Corinthia Hotel.

In political news, President Obama appointed Julia Pierson as the Secret Service Director making her the first woman to hold the position. Elsewhere, General Lloyd Austin became the first African American to lead the U.S. Command. Lastly, Facebook (and other social media sites) were flooded with red flags and equal signs which symbolize support for marriage equality. Yaaasss, hunty!
