Frequent fly girls everywhere know that you can't build a trusty travel beauty bag overnight. Different climates, flight altitudes/times and seasons all mean that your skin needs to be nourished, protected and ready for anything that comes it's way, from arid air to sudden layovers.

After 15 years of frequent flying and investing in my skincare, the following products have become my tried and true staples that have kept me arrival fresh and ready for any city, country or adventure.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Cleansing Water
This is the one product that my friends can’t stop raving about, simply put it’s everything for everybody. I discovered it in a Parisian pharmacy (the mecca of all things skin) and I am hooked. Intended to be used primarily as a makeup remover, this micellar water pulls double duty as a skin cleanser and refresher during long flights and late, late nights. Find it on Amazon

Sally Hansen Cuticle Rehab
Frequent air travel means dry air which can wreck havoc on your skin, right down to the cuticles. In addition to helping reduce nail breakage and keeping your manicure looking fresh, this brush-on cuticle oil instantly smoothes, softens and helps restore moisture to cuticles with jasmine and rose extracts and vitamin E, which are known to calm and soothe. Don't be mad if the flight attendant or your seat mate asks to use it, it's that good! Find it at your local drugstore or Ulta Beauty

Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser with Royal Jelly
After any long trip, you want to make sure your face is totally cleansed, but not stripped. This cleanser, with it's addition of Royal Jelly—the "miracle serum" courtesy of queen bees everywhere—strikes the perfect balance and has been a staple of many a travel maven's toiletry bag. Find it at your local drugstore or Amazon

Kiel's Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF30
I used to be 'all-Kiehl's-everything' until I realized that my skin needed variety and it was getting expensive. Still, their uber-popular Ultra Facial Moisturizer w/SPF30 remains a staple for literally any type of weather. Use it for tropical climates and cooler temperatures alike, but especially if sun exposure is on the itinerary. No matter what, your skin is protected from sun rays and the product moisturizes your situation for 24-hours and as it comes in a variety of sizes, you can take it anywhere. Find it at Kiehl's or your local department store

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil
If you are a tried and true beach bum like me, you want to keep your skin moisturized but not greasy or sticky in the heat. Enter NUXE Huile Prodigieuse aka the French cult-classic for the skin cared obsessed everywhere. Not only can you use it anywhere including on your face and hair, the smell—the SMELL—is pure tropical luxe, it's happiness, it's 'I may not be rich but dammit I'm feeling that way' good while keeping your skin properly luxurious all day without residue oily look or chemical-driven scent.
